Straight Bets Parlays Teasers IF Bets Reverse Bets Round Robins Parlay Cards
In this section we explain IF Bets to you and give you examples for IF Bets.
What are IF Bets?
IF Bets are a combination of two conditional straight bets in one single play.
The condition is that only if you win will it continue to pick next. As soon as you lose the wager, it will stop and regardless of the outcome of the next picks you will only be charged for that one loss.
There are two types of IF bets:
IF Win
Wager continues only if the first play wins.
IF Action
Wager continues if the first play wins, pushes or cancels.
There are certain rules for IF bets:
- Circled games, parlays and teasers cannot be included in an IF bet.
- An IF bet must be placed prior to the start time of the earliest event on the ticket.
- The first bet amount may not exceed the normal house limit.
- The second bet amount must be equal to or less than the amount of the first bet.
- You cannot place IF bets including futures or proposition bets.
How does an IF Bet work?
Imagine you want to play an IF Win bet for $75 with the following teams in the following order:
Soccer: Germany PK-120 (Risking $90 to win $75)
IF WIN
MLB: Milwaukee Brewers +180 (Risking $75 to win $135)
This If bet is considered Risking $90 (Maximum Risk) to win $210 (Maximum Win).
- If Germany and the Brewers both win, you will win $75 in the first play and $135 in the second play. You total win will be $210.
- If Germany wins and the Brewers lose, you will win $75 in the first play and lose $75 in the second play. Your total win will be $0 (as will be your total loss).
- If the Germany game ends in a tie, is "NO ACTION" or is canceled the IF bet stops and $90 will be returned into your wagering account.
- If Germany loses, you will lose $90 with that play and the If bet stops. Your total loss will be $90.
Imagine you want to play an IF Action bet for $75 with the same teams in the same order:
Soccer: Germany PK-120 (Risking $90 to win $75)
IF ACTION
MLB: Milwaukee Brewers +180 (Risking $75 to win $135)
This If bet is also considered Risking $90 (Maximum Risk) to win $210 (Maximum Win).
- If Germany and the Brewers both win, you will win $75 in the first play and $135 in the second play. You total win will be $210.
- If Germany wins and the Brewers lose, you will win $75 in the first play and lose $75 in the second play. Your total win will be $0 (as will be your total loss).
- If the Germany game ends in a tie, is "NO ACTION" or is canceled, and the Brewers win, you will win $135 in the second play. Your total win will be $135.
- If the Germany game ends in a tie, is "NO ACTION" or is canceled, and the Brewers lose, you will lose $75 in the second play. Your total loss will be $75.
- If Germany loses, you will lose $90 with that play and the If bet stops. Your total loss will be $90.
