Straight Bets Parlays Teasers IF Bets Reverse Bets Round Robins Parlay Cards
In this section we explain Reverse Bets to you and give you examples for reverse bets.
What is a Reverse Bet?
A reverse bet is a series of IF bets going both forward and in "reverse" order. Each team included in the reverse bet will pair with the other teams to form two IF bets.
That is, a two (2) team reverse bet forms two (2) IF bets, a three (3) team reverse bet forms six (6) IF bets, a four (4) team reverse bet forms twelve (12) IF bets, and so on.
The risk is the same for all the wagers in the bet and the IF clauses can be IF win or IF action (Win, Tie or Cancel) similar to all IF bets.
There are certain rules for reverse bets:
- Circled games, parlays and teasers cannot be included in a reverse bet.
- A reverse bet must be placed prior to the start time of the earliest event on the ticket.
- You cannot place reverse bets including futures or proposition bets.
- You cannot place reverse bets including futures or proposition bets.
How does a Reverse Bet work?
As mentioned above, there two types of reverse bets:
Win Reverse
Plays continue only if the first (or preceding) play wins.
Action Reverse
Play continues if the first (or preceding) play wins, pushes or cancels.
Imagine you want to play a Win Reverse bet for $50 with the following teams:
Soccer: Italy -½-165 (Risking $83 to win $50)
MLB: Philadelphia Phillies +125 (Risking $50 to win $62)
This reverse bet is considered Risking $133 (Maximum Risk) to win $224 (Maximum Win) and forms two IF bets:
1st Part:
Italy -½-165 (Risking $83 to win $50)
If Win:
Philadelphia Phillies +125 (Risking $50 to win $62)
Risking $83 (Maximum Risk) to win $112 (Maximum Win)
2nd Part:
Philadelphia Phillies +125 (Risking $50 to win $62)
If Win:
Italy -½-165 (Risking $83 to win $50)
Risking $50 (Maximum Risk) to win $112 (Maximum Win)
- If Italy and the Phillies both win, you will win $112 on the first part of the reverse bet and $112 on the second part. Your total win will be $224.
- If Italy wins and the Phillies lose, you will break even on the first part of the reverse bet and lose $50 on the second part. Your total loss will be $50.
- If the Phillies win and Italy loses, you will lose $83 on the first part of the reverse bet and win $62 on the second part. Your total loss will be $21.
- If the Italy game is "No Action" or is canceled, the first part of the reverse bet stops, the second part reverts to a straight bet on the Phillies, risking $50 to win $62.
- If the Phillies game is "No Action" or is canceled, the first part of your reverse bet converts to a straight bet on Italy, risking $83 to win $50 and the second part stops.
- If both teams lose, you will lose $83 on the first part of your reverse bet and lose $50 on the second part. Your total loss will be $133.

Philadelphia Phillies +125 (Risking $50 to win $62)

Philadelphia Phillies +125 (Risking $50 to win $62)
If Action:
Italy -½-165 (Risking $83 to win $50)
Risking $50 (Maximum Risk) to win $112 (Maximum Win)
- If Italy and the Phillies both win, you will win $112 on the first part of the reverse bet and $112 on the second part. Your total win will be $224.
